The University of Oregon has expanded its ways of communication by adopting Skype for Business across campus. According to UO, “People who have installed the software can also poll meeting attendees, share a virtual whiteboard and schedule online meetings through Microsoft Outlook. and its for no additional cost”
Microsoft has announced plans to open its first data centers in the middle east while also expanding in Europe. According to RCRWireless, The company intends to bring new cloud regions in Switzerland and build upon its presence in Germany with additional cloud options. Microsoft also announced the general availability of Azure and Office 365 from new cloud regions in France.”
In Google news, Airbus has ditched using Office 365 and has instead introduced Google’s G Suite enterprise collaboration and productivity software for its 130,000 employees. Airbus chief information officer Luc Hennekens said G Suite represented “the best digital tools” on the market today for collaboration.
