Microsoft Forms, one of the most popular services provided by Microsoft’s Office 365 program now has 3 million users in education. Earlier Microsoft released a preview program and over 50,000 companies have used the services, because of this, the company has announced that they will be releasing Forms to all commercial platforms of Office 365. For businesses, Forms can measure customer satisfaction and organize team events within minutes.
Another one of Microsoft’s services is getting an overhaul. Office 365’s Word program is getting some new features added to it to compete with other document services like Google Doc’s and Apache’s Open Office. The added features helps to draw attention to better writing skills with more thorough corrections and a dashboard for self assessment of their work.
After a recent phishing attack, Google has enhanced their security with a SSO verification check for their G Suite service. During the attack, users were invited to open an unassuming looking Google Doc which also came from a familiar email. To prevent further attacks, Google has devised a prompt when you first login to “verify it’s you”. Google says that it’s not perfect but it sure is a handy insurance.
