To compete with Amazon, Google is providing what is called Google Developer Groups – meetup sessions centered around cloud hosting and other topics. The company just opened GDG Cloud Philly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since Amazon has 40 percent of the market share, Google has to branch out into other parts of the US and believes Philly is a great place to get the ball rolling.
A non-profit that develops curriculum for K-12 schools and distributes it as open education resources (OER) has teamed up with Microsoft to make materials available to schools running Office 365. This program offers math curriculum for grades 6-8 and English language curriculum for K-6 plus much more. See more of what it offers here!
Google has now updated its Drive on GSuite with Access Checker. What this implies is you can share your files with up to 30 other users and groups. This new update lets you track the people that have restricted access to a certain email and gives you a notification through Access Checker.
In places like the UK and Australia, they are offering online services to bullied teens to give counseling via online means. These services are being offered by Elefriends and eheadspace via Skype to give easier access for these teens.
